Birth Control Pills and Pregnancy
Millions of women use these pills everyday so that there isn’t a child next to them in nine-months after they have had intercourse. Many other methods like barrier methods work most of the time, but they are not as effective as the birth control pills are.
A barrier method is something like a condom used to block the travel of sperm into the vulva. The effectiveness of the birth control pills are almost unmatched, and that’s why millions of women use them everyday.
There are certain side-effects though when it comes to taking the pill. Many women when they first start taking the birth control pill can feel tired, depressed, they can see weight gain, and even mood swings. This is because the hormones the body is getting, the body is not use to this extra dose of hormones, and is reacting to them.
The side-effects of the pills is the main reason why most women quit using them in the first month. Doctors have said though that if you get past the first month on the birth control pill, and deal with the side-effects the problems should go away after the first month because the body is beginning to get use to the extra hormones.
