Hydration is also a key element for new mother weight loss. Being able to flush the body of toxins, and help you feel your best while you are busy- water is a powerful choice in any weight loss plan. However, it is especially important for new mothers who will be trying to maintain adequate energy levels while caring for a newborn.

This may sound more difficult than it actually is- but making sure that you are getting enough rest during the post partum months is also pretty important to weight loss. When the body does not get enough rest, it is much harder for it to function efficiently- this means it cannot burn the calories and fat that it needs to. Being able to sleep whenever the baby sleeps, or whenever you are given the chance rather than getting up to make sure other things are done is an important part of early motherhood

You have heard them say… “I cannot exercise,” “Exercising is hard…” and many such excuses. As someone who has worked out all his life… and I am now 51 years old; I can tell you that if I did not work out all my life, I would not know what “good health” would feel like… I am convinced of this. I know when I don’t exercise for a couple of weeks how I feel and I cannot imagine a person who has not worked out almost all his/her life must feel like. And consider that feeling okay…health1

You know what that is like? That is like someone who has never smelled a rose walks up to you and says; “Can you tell me what a rose smells like?” It cannot be done. There are no words that I can put together to explain to a person what a rose smells like. A rose has to be smelled to know what a rose smells like. Same with being in great shape… You have to get into Great Shape to know what it feels like to be in Great Shape.

People do things for “Reasons,” they do everything for “Reasons.” They go to school for a reason, they eat for a reason, they get married for a reason, they drive their cars for reasons. We operate with “Reasons” running the show in the background. Human beings need “Reasons” to do anything.

Now if it is all about having “Reasons” to do things. I can prove that the reason most people don’t exercise is not that because they cannot or it is hard… It is because they don’t have a big-enough reason to work out on a daily basis. I am going to prove this now. So imagine you are someone who doesn’t work out, who never works out… I come to your house at 6:00AM one morning and I have a gun; I wake you up and tell you that if you don’t get up and exercise right now, I am going to shoot one of your family members. Would you get up an exercise? Yes… and in a heartbeat. Why? Because you now have a “Big Reason” to get up and exercise.
